Shelter Loves - Interior Design 2016

Hello lovies!! We're about to kick off one of my FAVORITE weekends and weeks! I'm looking forward to logging a few days at the beach and enjoying good food & time with friends. I will be blogging next Monday and Tuesday, check back for my July 4th outfit ideas on Monday and a beautiful summer inspired home on Tuesday! Here is what's on my mind today.

1. The 4th and all it's glory!!

2. Anything French, including Sezane dresses. They are perfect for all of those cookouts.

3. and 6. THIS!!!! I am pretty guilty of not only coveting the perfect size "2" bodies on the beach but obsessing over the areas of mine that I don't like. As I get older, I am trying to embrace my curves and the areas that I'd like to look a bit different. I realize I am not going to look 23 again - Two C-sections later and a love of food and wine, I am focusing on what I like about me. I am also thankful for my health. Sophia is beautiful and always seemed confident with her curves.

4. Now onto the food,,,lol. I like to cook and especially love putting together crudite boards. I will be creating one in the morning. 

5. Cozy and inviting moments, this bedroom is precious.

The Country Home - Interior Design 2016

I am heading up to Vermont for a very quick trip but I am in need of some strawberry picking and fresh air. Things are simpler in the country and sometimes that is a great thing. I'll be back tomorrow, refreshed and ready to tackle more projects! This beautiful home located in New York, is updated just enough, the classic bones and beautiful finishes give just the right nod to the past without feeling stale and predictable. Love the look - Top twelve beach bag essentials - Interior Design 2016

School is out and summer has ARRIVED!! I'm as giddy as a school child about the fun my family has planned, some of it is as simple as heading to the beach. Today, I'm sharing my "beach bag" essentials. I can't leave out one that won't fit in my bag -  a comfy chair. Enjoy, be safe and cheers to a wonderful summer! xx

Cedar Shakes - Interior Design 2016

Cedar Shingles are my first choice of siding for a house! They look as beautiful weathered as they do new! Dip them in stain or leave them to weather naturally, you can't go wrong with this classic look on the exterior of your home.

Coastal Living - Interior Design 2016

Lazy days at the beach, dining al fresco, warm sunny days, outdoor showers, picking flowers, lemonade stands, dips in the pool, these are just a few of the things I am looking forward to this summer. Shelter Loves - Interior Design 2016

I've missed y'all. I am back today with Friday's post! It's a beautiful day and I am finally working from the office! Besides some amazing jobs, the last full week of school for my kiddos and meetings galore, below was tops on the list! It's a gorgeous day out, isn't it  amazing what a little sunshine and a warm breeze will do for your outlook? 

1. When I am feeling down or stressed, a walk on the beach always helps me refocus my thoughts.

2. I have never owned anything this color, but I just bought a dress in this exact shade. I am excited to wear it with bone colored bracelets and gold. This one is also cute, horray for dress season!!

3. Loving the The Real Raleigh series on I Suwanee. This entire house is clean and simple but full of interesting moments. A home does not always need to be large to shine. 

4. I started my tomato garden on time this year, I planted five varieties. I could live on healthy salads during the summer months. I am going to make this tonight.
5. VERY TRUE. With age, I have gotten much better at focusing on the positive and doing everything I can to change what I do not like in my life.  I try not to complain too much,  a few bitch sessions with my besties, works wonders. Then we MOVE ON. 
6. I have become a bit obsessed about keeping my skin moisturized and healthy. I am not getting any younger, so oils are a part of my daily routine. This resurfacing peel is the latest and greatest addition from Beautycounter! I am ordering mine today.  xx

Love the Look - Kate's style - Interior Design 2016

Hello all! Not sure how it is already Thursday or how an entire week has passed since I have been able to sit and blog! (My business is booming).

 I was very sad to hear of Kate Spade's passing. She was a visionary and a huge inspiration to me when I was brainstorming on how to launch my career in a creative field circa 1990-something!! (I worked in fashion before interiors) Kate's designs were fresh, colorful and always happy! I remember saving my money as a twenty-something year old girl woman for one of her newly released, "Sam" bags. I think it was the first time I stepped foot in Barneys. At the time, they were the only store that even sold them. (I am dating myself) I hope I saved that bag! Depression and anxiety are a very scary and powerful thing.  My thoughts are with her family and daughter, Bea. 💔

In celebration of Kate's life and talent, I've rounded up pieces that were absolutely her style. I recently listened to How I Built this on NPR. It's a great Podcast with Kate and Andy Spade.
