Shelter Loves.... - Interior Design 2016

I should really be making dinner for my starving children but I decided to pour a glass of wine and blog about what is on my radar! lol. Don't you love summer? I really don't do well well with too much structure and my kids are pretty chill. Have a great night. xx

1. White dresses, they are very flattering, especially if you have been kissed by the sun this summer. Here's a flattering one. 

2. Warm, worn brass faucets and pulls.

3. Beach cottages, summer sunsets, crushed stone driveways, vintage cars/jeeps/rovers and JULY. This image is heaven to me. I do not want a large house or yard. 

4. YES! I am not talking - pull a rabbit out of a hat magic, (that I do not like) I am talking about believing that what is next to come into your life is magical. I made a very necessary shift in my world recently. I listened to my gut and silenced my fears, these moments can be very uncomfortable but they also mean you are wise and doing what you need to do to live a healthy, peaceful and happy life. 💓

5. I love to travel and I feel calmer when I am organized. This tech case by Stow is perfect. Also, Meghan Markle has one and honestly, I adore her style. 

6. I am a bit of a music addict. I listen and download it often. This little speaker is ideal for the beach and your kitchen. I am also going to set up my old Bose system in my new office. It still sounds great.

Office Inspiration - Interior Design 2016

Hello, hello! I hope you had a wonderful 4th holiday! It's a favorite week of mine. I was lucky enough to sneak away to Nantucket for three days. I am back to reality and work today. As most of you know, I am in the midst of an office overhaul. It's moving along, I have the electrician working here today. I'm in the process of finalizing my office design board and I'll share that very soon. I am using some items from my old space but I want to give it a fresh, updated feel. Today, I thought I'd share a few gorgeous work spaces from some of the chicest, forward thinking business women around! Enjoy! xx

Love the look - Beach Day - Interior Design 2016

I don't take much vacation time but I always try to take the week of the fourth off. I worked today but will be on vacay the moment I hit publish on this post! I am planning to spend some relaxing days at the beach. Here's everything I'll need plus a chair, water and of a towel and book. Have a wonderful July 4th holiday!! xx

1. I always wear sundresses over my suit-Cute ones aren't as easy to find as you would think. 
2. A flattering bathing suit - bottom and top. 
3. A straw tote.
4. SUNSCREEN. I have blogged in the past about my goal to protect my face. I've had three cancerous spots surgically removed already. I spent too much unprotected time in the sun as a teen.
5.  MUSIC.
6.  Inexpensive sunnies. I have a small obsession with vintage cars/jeeps and sunglasses. 😝 The beach ride is next. 
7. Chilled wine or seltzers.
8. I live in Rainbow flip flops during the summer months. They are very comfy.
9. I don't tend to wear lots of heavy color on my lips but I never leave home without a clear of pale pink balm. 
10. A cooler full of drinks.

Summer - Bucket List - Interior Design 2016

I love each season for various reasons but I will say that summer is extra sweet, especially because the Spring is usually pretty rainy and cold around here! I've done some of the items on my Summer bucket list before but they are all goodies..Here are my summer wishes + goals. 

1. Skinny dip!
2. Up my running game. I run a few times a week but I want to add some distance and speed to the routine. I also need to do more yoga and meditating. 
3. Take my kids on a "real" picnic.
4. Travel someplace that I have never been. This is Austria. I'm not sure if that will happen this summer but it is certainly on my travel list!!
5. Surf. I have surfed before but I want to give it another shot. It's fun. 
6. This book has great reviews. I am going to read the book, then watch the movie. Historical fiction is my favorite reading genre. I'm also a bit of a romantic and appreciate a love story. 💗
7. I LOVE fireworks. Watching fireworks is on my list!!
8. I want to cook some new recipes, these sound good!
9. Over sand driving, preferably on Nantucket. I also adore vintage Jeep Grand Wagoneers.

Beach days...... - Interior Design 2016

My kids are out of school for the summer today! They asked last night "how many weeks they will spend in camp?" I think they are ready to play at the beach and relax (if that is possible) poolside. I promised them camp is fun too! ;) *because Mommy does need to work.... I have to admit, summer is my favorite season. We get a limited amount of warm weather in Boston. I'm very ready to soak it all up! I live a mile from the beach and enjoy the casual style that brings. I love the carefree, colorful design of this seaside home! Interior: Caroline Rafferty.
