I know most people appreciate a good before and after photoshoot. I'm working on a coastal home for a client and have been looking forward to sunnier, summer days. Take a peek at this beautiful seaside transformation. Images via: Southern Living.

Shelter Loves.... - Interior Design 2016
I hope you're hanging in there. I've been going a little stir crazy this week but am always happy to see Friday roll around. Saturday + Sunday = no teacher duty while trying to juggle work. I also like to use my blog as an escape..It's always been a form of therapy for me. My fingers are crossed that the warm weather comes our way soon!! Wishing you a peaceful and healthy weekend. xx
1. What are you wearing post quarantine?? I'll be going for classic staples and am hopeful I can zip my jeans up. I'll take this top in both colors. I'm tiring of my yoga pants and may switch to joggers next week. Stay tuned for my favorite jogger round up!
2. Natural light indoors is much needed right now. This kitchen is a beauty with the oversized window, stove, plaster hood and mix of white counters and natural wood.
3. I created a patio plan for a client this week. I looking forward to seeing her progress. I loved this mix of boxwoods against the black home.
4. + 5. Rattan and wicker. The ottoman is from the X Ariel Okin line for Society Social. I'll take one ottoman and two chairs please!
6. I'm focusing on easy and fast recipes. These chicken tinga tacos are on next weeks' meal plan.
7. It may be an uncomfortable adjustment but on the other side you'll realize letting go was the only solution. It is never selfish to focus on your well being...

Love the Look - Spring styles - Interior Design 2016
I find myself focusing on the future quite a bit lately.. It will be a good day when I can go for a walk with family, see a concert and meet a friend for dinner + drinks.. Pretty floral and batik prints, crisp white tops plus cheery colors are all on my radar and filling my pin boards. I realize our actions now are not only smart but will directly impact our future and summer. I find optimism and day-dreaming are always helpful during uncertain times in life. Here are my Spring favorites. I've included great sales, when possible. Stay healthy and safe. xx

Shelter Loves... - Interior Design 2016
Hello! I missed this post on Friday, so I'm sharing it today. I hope you and your loved ones are all staying safe and healthy. Our new norm has taken some adjusting but I'm trying to focus on the good and am thankful to be busy with work and to have my children home, safe and sound. Here is what I've been up to....
EATING:
Um, like most of you I've been cooking and cleaning non stop. I've tried a number of new recipes and lettuce cups seem to be a hit. Here is a new recipe to try.
1. WEARING:
Well in all honesty, I am wearing yoga pants and tee shirts but I do have my eye on a number of things I can't wait to wear! This jacket included.
2. ADORING:
I love a beautiful table settings and am going to make Easter dinner for the three of us on Sunday. I hope to create a festive and Springy table.
3. THOUGHTS AND POSITIVE WORDS ARE POWERFUL.
4. DESIGNING:
I am devising design boards for a beautiful home in the city. The bathroom is going to have a feminine vanity. Wouldn't that be a dream? I have one on my wish list too.
5. DREAMING:
I am a dreamer and have been doing my fair share of thinking about what I'll do when we are free and clear to live our lives freely again. I'd love to plan a trip, the Amalfi coast is on my bucket list.
6. LISTENING:
I typically listen to music all day and have been playing a very chill mix lately.... I've had this CD by the trio, Khruangbin, on repeat. It's funky and soulful.
7. CREATING:
A calm and clean environment at home. I've been enjoying online yoga and pilates when I can..I love the ambiance a simple, fresh smelling candle brings to a room.

Patio Style - Interior Design 2016
Aside from my weekly grocery shop and a daily run on nice days, I haven't left home much. I know we're all in the same boat and experiencing this together. I'm am designing a patio project "remotely" for a client and have been working on that, scheming and day-dreaming of my own outdoor projects today. I'm excited to plant and create a welcoming yard when the weather warms up in Boston! Here are five tips for creating a beautiful patio, regardless of the size or location. I hope you enjoy this escape as much I loved gathering the images. All outdoor furniture on FrontGate is 25% off today.

Under the Oak :A converted Wagon in Wales - Interior Design 2016

As Wagon conversions go this one is pretty epic! Not only that but it is near my parents in Powis. The best news is the stunning conversion is available for short rentals via Canopy and Stars (this is not a paid post , just throught it would be of interest), the perfect place to retreat in all this current madness..... wht do you think?
The railway wagon was used for many years for nothing more than storage. Fittingly, it now houses a collection of weird and wonderful objects that Jim has collected on his travels round the world as a cameraman. Now that both the wagon and the owners have settled a little, the transformation from railway carriage to living space has been completed.
A full length glazed wall gives lovely views out to the commons and a 6ft 6” square bed invites you to spread out. The wagon’s original ironwork has been used to make some of the fittings and the dark wood, also remaining from the original construction, gives a lovely rich feel. The wagon has gas hobs, a camping toaster and a Weber BBQ, plus a firepit and log seats outdoors. The washing up sink, prep area, fridge and other another gas ring are outside, undercover at the end of the wagon.
Under the Oak is tucked between two barns and screened by trees from Jim and Jude’s other project, Under the Ash, a converted showman’s wagon. Each have their own private compost loo and share a hot gas-powered shower, which are about 10 yards from both spaces. Although they are quite close together and near the cottage, every effort has been taken to give them their own areas and Jim & Jude’s friends have been enjoying staying there for years.

Shelter Loves - 3.27.20 - Interior Design 2016
Hello Friday! It is Friday, isn't it? 😉 I don't have my kids today or this weekend, the lack of human interaction is very real when you are home alone for days on end. I've been talking to my cat and self quite a bit. I hope you and your loved ones all staying healthy. I keep telling myself that we'll be looking back on this historic moment someday. I've been listening to a ton of music and have been mixing up the genres. I've also been watching movies with my kids, it's amazing what I deemed inappropriate six months has basically gone out the window. (Ear muffs, kids). I just can't stomach too many animated movies. We've been focusing on 80's comedies. Thank god for social media and the web, can you imagine if this happened in 1985? If my grandfather was alive, I'd be interested to hear his memories of 1918. I am thankful for our health and all the people risking their own health for the well being of others. Thank you. My latest inspo: xx

1. The concept of a flower truck is fabulous to me. If I were independently wealthy, I may need to do this. You could set up virtually anywhere and share nature and beauty with the world. Love it!
2. I love discovering new creative Instagram accounts, as mentioned, listening to music is a favorite for me too. I discovered Lily's account, she is adorable and a very talented trumpet player.
3. Athena's Amagansett home and refresh is gorgeous. I adore unique furniture and a modern earthy color palette...This chair is on my radar.
4. Pretty undergarments, they look lovely layered under sweaters and t-shirts.
5. I'm looking forward to wearing pretty dresses this summer.
6. YES!
