Yes, life feels like it's a bit on hold but I'm not giving up on the power of style and the feeling I have when I slip on something brand new and head out for the day...Leather, warm shades of camel, nutmeg and tan worn together, statement earrings, soft detailed sweaters and statement collars are some of the trends you'll see this Fall..Today, I've rounded up some favorite looks!

Love the look - Interior Design 2016

Have you stepped up your workout routine during Covid? I mean, we have to do something to offset the weekday wine consumption. There are so many adorable casual fitness companies and clothing popping up. Here's a round up of some of my favorites.

Shelter Loves.... - Interior Design 2016

Hello! Thought I'd kick off the short week with last Friday's post. hehe. I hope your week is off to a great start. 

1. You have to get uncomfortable to live the life you really deserve and want! This I know.

2. I have finally gotten around to watching, Little Fires Everywhere on Hulu. It's a treat to see Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon together. I currently have my eye on Kerry's great style.

3.  I don't love the idea of summer ending but I am looking forward to wearing booties again. Also, check out Fashion Jacksons' Fall outfit lineup. I have THESE in my cart. 

4. Loving the idea of a deep green in a library or mudroom. I am loving this shade and hoping to have my client's mudroom painted a similar color. Farrow and Ball has some beautiful green shades. 

5. I planted jalapeno peppers in my garden this year. They add the perfect kick to my cooking but I need to find some new recipes. I may give this jalapeno hummus recipe a whirl this week. 

6. My dear friend gave me this journal by, Case Kenny, yesterday. I'm starting it today!

BACK to school! - Interior Design 2016

Whether your kiddos are heading back to school full time, remotely or with a hybrid plan, I think MOST parents can agree, the Fall is going to be interesting!! Getting organized and motivating your children at home to enjoy school is a step in the right direction. I'm spending some time this week on setting up a "school work zone" for my two kids. There won't be any "in bed" learning around here this Fall. I've rounded up a selection of affordable and functional desks that will make any child excited to help create their own study area. I am also encouraging my children to declutter their bedrooms and make room for their new desks. My son's room may be a challenge because it's small but I am determined to make it work. Shelter Loves - 8.21.20 - Interior Design 2016

Happy Friday! It's so beautiful out today, I hope you have a chance to enjoy some time outdoors. Here's what is on my love list:

1. Nordstrom is still having their Anniversary Sale and it's now open to everyone. I'm a big fan of cotton, knit sweaters. They can be worn over almost anything and are super comfy. Here's a similar one on sale. 

2. YES! Keep your standards high and your stress level low. 

3. Classic Ray-Ban sunnies never go out of style. Purchase these here. (also on sale)

4. Photographs of clouds. Kim's are very cool. 

5. French Markets. I can't wait to travel again. Where would you love to go?

6. Thank god for braids. It's been very humid in the Northeast this summer. I've been living in a braid. They are fun but sophisticated. 

7. Peaches and Burrata, when mixed together they create a divine blend of sweet and salty.

8. Unique dining chairs!! I'm over the same heavy chairs that I see over and over again. Design by Tamara Magel.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale - 2020 - Interior Design 2016

 Hola! I hope you're all hanging in there and staying healthy and happy. It's actually been a pretty good summer over here. I know we are all feeling a bit of trepidation about the back to school fall schedule or lack there of....

I've been taking advantage of many sales. I see it as doing my part (at least that is my excuse) to help the economy. I've also been supporting small, local businesses.
