Jessica Alba at home - Interior Design 2016

Aside from my career choice and daily delve into inspiring interiors, I have also been revamping some things around my own home. With an abundance of time stuck inside this year plus sans travel, it's hard not to mix up my interiors. A few of the changes have not entailed acquiring new items but reworking what I already own. Are you feeling a shift and need for change at home?? Are you accomplishing more?

I'm continually seeking fresh inspiration..Jessica Alba's home, in an issue of AD, recently caught my attention. I can't fail to mention how great Jessica's Honest Co. line is. I slather this natural oil ,all over my face, every day. Design by Clements Design

This was a fun guide to pull together and shares items that work for skiers, snowboarders or anyone who appreciates the beauty of a day in the snow! I don't know about you but spending time outdoors feels restorative...I plan to ski whenever I can this winter, restrictions or not.

Molly Weasley and The Burrow - Interior Design 2016

"The walls were decorated with artwork drawn by children of the
art department crew, and the prevailing color palette reflected
the ginger-topped Weasleys' obvious favorite colors: red and orange."

My son is just 6, and although I really wanted to read the books with him first, my excitement ran away with me one rainy lockdown day a few weeks ago, and we started watching the Harry Potter films.

A few days later a friend asked me what character from a film I found I resonated with and why...... and to my surprise confidently poppoing up from my unconscious was the answer "Molly Weasley"!

The why part of the question started with the thought that she lived in 'The Burrow', probably my  true dream home. A home build on love........ cooked-from-scratch family meals, shabby old chairs covered in knitted throws, mis-matched crockery, wonky stairs, thread bare carpets covered with rugs, book shelves with the books squashed back in any free space... and then I recognised that actually this house and person resembled my own..... I even have a long haired ginger son.

“We wanted everything - from the furniture through to the
crockery on the kitchen table - to look as if it had been bought
in second-hand shops, picked up at swap meets, or rescued from curbs.” - Stephenie McMillan

Its funny how through re-visiting films and books we notice the passing of time and the change in us. We are not the same person as we were first time around. I always thought of myself as Ginni Weasley in the past.....

Natural elements such as fruit, berries and pinecones look lovely too and will individualize your wrapping....Choose a few ideas to keep your designs cohesive. I don't know about you but I hope to finish up my wrapping early this year. Cheers and happy wrapping!

Gift Guide - The fitness minded - Interior Design 2016

Let's discuss the benefits of exercise for a moment. Whether you consider yourself an athlete or not, the pros of working out are incredible, especially during stressful times .  2020 has been a challenging sh*t show but I do think positives arise during times of adversity. Covid forced me to run outdoors during the raw, cold weather last Spring. I acclimated. I have been going to spin class twice a week religiously since the studio reopened in June, it has truly been an escape for me, mask and all.....Here are some gift ideas for the yourself or the fitness minded people in your life. xx

1. Alo is my go to for fitness and athletic leisure wear. Their fleeces are so soft, I love them.
5. Sports bra - this is a great color mixed with black
7. Pickle ball set - a few of my friends are in a pickle ball league and love it. I am considering joining in 2021!!
9. Spin shoes - on my list

Gift Guide - a few of my favorite things... - Interior Design 2016

Happy Sunday! In all honesty, I don't "need" anything but it is always fun to put together a list of a few of my favorite things...Some of these items would truly be a gift from Santa... Day dreaming on a Sunday is always allowed.

My children and I are going to decorate our tree today, we got a beauty this year. I'll be sure to post a photo on Instagram. We all could use a few holiday distractions. My children and I will also donate money to local charities. I'm trying to teach them the importance of sharing and giving back to the community. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. xx

2. Emerald blazer in this gorgeous velvet
7. An oversized plaid shirt/jacket - this Zara one is selling fast...I love this top too but it's all sold out.
8. Velvet toiletry bag. I get lost on the Sezane site. I may have a beautiful sweater coming my way.
