Shelter Loves - Interior Design 2016

I typically post what I'm eyeing on Friday, I had some time to share my thoughts today instead. I'm feeling especially inspired by organic materials, comfort, rattan textures and handmade items...It's nice to finally have some warm weather. I'm looking forward to flowering trees, green grass and blooms! (see the simple things do make a difference). Cheers. 

1. I'm very into the idea of having a loungey vinyl room..I'm also loving graphic black and white artwork.This painting is by John O'Hara. Forsyth is full of interesting vintage pieces too. 

2. Slides.....Especially loving the Polly slide by Loeffler Randall. These are nice too and on sale. 

3. Natural colored rugs with tones of brown, cream, and tan that resemble Tuareg mat designs. Find this one here. 

4. An integrated stone sinks. This one is a beauty.

5. I've been wearing denim on denim lately, it's much like a stylish, flattering uniform. Buy this one here.

Good Morning! I hope your week is off to a great start...I didn't want to miss sharing Shopbop's style event sale..It's a great time to save on your favorite items. I'm truly about refining and decluttering at the moment. I've mentioned my affinity for French women's approach to dressing = purchase less but the best you can afford. I always like to throw my outfit off = high/low, masculine/feminine, edgy/refined. I approach dressing much like my design ideas.  You'll also never see me with overdone hair, 75% of the time, I wear it back in a loose pony. I'm like Camille's style.....

Shelter Loves..... - Interior Design 2016

I was more than happy to spend a relaxing night in. I sorted through some fabrics for my projects and had a chance to create a post for you all. I've been inspired by an array of moments lately. Here is what is on my radar and mind this week. Wishing you a wonderful, sun filled weekend. xx 

1. I'm all about good quality lighting. Beautiful lights can truly transform a project from good to outstanding. These hand made fixtures are made in Oaxacan, the sculptural quality is wonderful.. See more here. 

2. Carolyn Bessette Kennedy's classic, simply, minimal style speaks to me..

3. Life is too short not to be fearless.......take risks. We all stumble, we all rise.

4. Sexy. I am loving moody, layered, rich, sophisticated interiors. This is Jenna Lyon's bathroom.

5. Simple summer jewelry.

6. I love this image for a number of reasons. First off, Carolyn Murphy is stunning and I love that she was in the latest J.Crew catalog. I'm also loving this fresh lavender shade for summer. I am ordering everything here. I think I'll be wearing a bikini when I am 90.....the women do in France. ;)

7. If you're a long time follower of mine, I think you've figured out that I am obsessed with music. I probably annoy the shit out of my friends with my constant random song shares......I've been listening to Cannons lately.

 Of course we all know Kelly Wearstler is a design genius. I thought it was worth sharing the chicest chocolate shoppe that I've ever set eyes on. The material selections were carefully considered, they are rich and rooted in tradition. The patinaed copper is now on my custom built house material list. Perfection....Enjoy..xx
