Cottage Love #69 - By the Sea - Interior Design 2016

We are all soaking in the last days of summer around here! Mid-September a switch is typically switched: the days get shorter and the nights get cooler. Living by the water is a wonderful thing, for those lucky enough to live on the water it's pure perfection, especially during the summer months. I adore Dana Small's cottage style home, on Lake Michigan in the latest issue of House Beautiful. Dana drew inspiration from the changing colors of the water and sky. The result is lovely. Relaxing in one of those blue and white ticking striped chairs, on a summer day, would be dream. I'm not sure I'll ever tire of a blue and white color scheme!  **I promise to be back to my regular posting schedule when the kids are off to school in the Fall. Shelter Loves - Interior Design 2016

We have had a LAZY day around here today, it was MUCH needed. I let my daughter build a multi-blanket fort and we ate mac n cheese and ice cream. I was even happy to share my weekly loves with you all. Here's what is on my radar.

Squared away - Interior Design 2016

With summer in full swing and my son in sailing camp this week, I've got classic interiors, seaside escapes and nautical details on my mind. As I've mentioned in the past, Nantucket is a favorite escape. The homes are beautifully designed and most are keeping with the history and classic color palette of the island. I've never stayed at the Greydon house but the interiors by Roman and Williams are beautifully executed and appointed. The firm honored the past but all of the rooms feel fresh and relevant, just take a peek.
