Marlien Rentmeester at home - Interior Design 2016

It's lovely when a well designed home includes two admired creatives collaborating. Alexander Reid's updated design of Marlien Rentmeester's Pacific Palisades' home is a gorgeously layered mix of neutrals, texture and sculptural furniture pieces and found objects. I'll always have a love of color and pattern but paired down spaces using = white, black and natural are speaking to me lately! I adore Marlien's style and now her home. Shelter Loves - Monday edition - Interior Design 2016

Happy Monday! Do we have another choice? November marks the season of raw and cold weather here in Boston, this year I'm approaching the colder months and holidays with a positive mindset...I had every intention of posting this on the normally scheduled day, better late than never. Enjoy your week and a glimpse of what's on my mind design wise. xx

1. It must be a little girl in me but I think bows look so pretty on adult women! Here is a lovely French version. 
2. I spent much of the weekend organizing my home and the areas behind closed doors. I swear, I feel lighter today. I donated three large bags of clothing.
3. I try my best to keep life in perspective. I consider good health to be the greatest blessing.
4. Cozy boots are my "go to" during the winter months. Aren't these darling?
5. How do you feel about the return of  Dr. Martens? I had a pair in the 90's. I am wondering if they are someplace at my parent's house? They are all over NYC and Europe. I think they look best with fitted pants and leggings..
6. This winter, I am fully embracing the Norwegians' concept of warmth, togetherness and comfort that is referred to as "Koselig". Later this week, I'll be sharing ways to bring this feeling into your home. It is also a general outlook on life during the dark, cold winter months.

Shelter Loves... - Interior Design 2016

Hello, hello. I am happy to be blogging right now. Here's what I'm pinning lately. Have a lovely weekend !! xx

1. It's cold as hell out, but the up side of that is we can break out our teddy coats and tall boots. I'm loving the pant tucked into the boot trend. Here are two great pairs of tall boots and they are ON SALE. these and these. 
2. Leon Bridges is often on repeat in my house and car. His songs get stuck in my head.

4. I enjoy putting my own flower arrangements together. If I host Thanksgiving, this would be a pretty mix of color and texture. 
5. I've really feeling the sophistication and warmth of a camel, black and white color palette right now.

Studio Ora : Beautiful Open but cozy home in Boulder - Interior Design 2016

There isn't much I can say about this beautiful natural, earthy home that these photos don't already say.  The property in Boulder, Colorado belongs to textile artist Ora and her family and I just love the open space and the combination of cozy and minimalism..... perfect!!!

Cottage Love #70 - Order in the house.... - Interior Design 2016
